Set up your online bank for everyday personal banking

How to enroll

You will receive step-by-step onboarding instructions before your scheduled migration. See the full migration schedule.

You will then be able to set up your profile in National Bank’s online bank in one of two ways:

Not sure of your migration date?
You will receive a Migration Letter at least one month before your scheduled date. You can also consult the full migration schedule here.

After your enrollment

Once you’ve set up your online bank with National Bank, you can start organizing your profile with features such as pre-authorized payments, autodeposit, and more. Consult the checklist below to make sure you don’t miss a step!

  • Confirm your personal information
    To receive important communications from us, verify that your address, phone number and email are up to date in the Profile section. View our demo Update my personal information.
  • Manage pre-authorized payments and direct deposits
    Update your banking information with the necessary service providers for payments and deposits with your new account numbers. If you previously had direct deposit with the CRA, view our demo Enroll in direct deposit to help set it up. 
  • Reschedule post-dated and recurring transactions
    Reprogram your post-dated transactions to service providers, other people, or between your National Bank accounts. View our demo Transfer money between my accounts.
  • Set up Interac e-Transfer® Autodeposit
    Automatically receive funds directly into your new National Bank accounts by linking them with your email or mobile phone number. View our demo Set up Interac e-Transfer®Autodeposit.
  • Create CWB recipients
    Recreate your CWB contacts as Interac e-Transfer® recipients. Note that transfers between National Bank clients should also be done using Interac ®. View our demo Add a recipient.
  • Confirm suppliers for bill payments
    A maximum of 20 suppliers were migrated. If any are missing, you will need to set them up manually. Note that some of your suppliers may not yet be part of our network. Alternative payment methods include Interac e-Transfer®, cheque, or wire transfer. View our demo Add and pay a bill.
